Debbie has the best puppies ever they are very family oriented with the dogs and the puppies. I got a pup from her about two years ago he is the best dog I have ever had. He is healthy I Have never had any problems with him with the exception of just going through the hole puppy stage lol. Trust me you wont regret getting a dog from her. My dog copper is very well mannered and just a beautiful dog I couldn't have asked for more. We still keep in touch with Debbie she sends me pictures of all the new pups and keeps me updated on coppers sister which she still has. You wont be disappointed if you are looking for a German Shepard she is the lady to talk to. Well if you have any more questions please feel free to call or email me. And I would love to know what your decision is and I would love to see pics of your new pup if you get one.

Thankyou

roud owner of a Stepping Stone GSD!

I would recommend anyone to buy a puppy from Debbie at Stepping Stone Kennels. We got Luga (Cinnamon/Echo pup-Dec. 12,2009) in January at the age of 6 weeks, and he is amazing! His temperament is wonderful and he is SO smart. Debbie is wonderful to work with and loves her dogs so much! She definitely breeds Shepherds for the pure passion she has for the breed. All of her adult dogs were friendly and sweet as could be. If you would like to see pictures of my boy, feel free to e-mail me. They are definitely not in short supply! :)

I have one of Debbie's puppies he was born June 29, 2011 and is a joy. Chaos is like a big toddler and he thinks he is a little boy because he has grown with our grandson who is three years old. We have a newborn grandson now and he is soooo gentle with him. I could not ask for a better dog and I have had alot of German Shepherds in the past 25 years. I would recommend Stepping Stone Kennels to anyone. Thank you Debbie

purchased a male puppy from Debbie Shay January 12th 2008.My experience was very pleasant, she E-mailed photos of the puppies because we wanted a white male , I mailed her $100 dollars for the holding deposit, she called me personally on the phone that she received the deposit for my puppy and kept me informed on the the puppies progress like eating solids, she had no problems e-mailing me when I had any questions, she always answered them, stepping stones is a trust worthy Kennel and I drove to pickup my puppy so I seen all her dogs.  was thinking about what I should tell you as I was walking my magnus. We got her from Debbie 2 Decembers ago she was a Christmas present for my husband. I was always known as the crazy cat lady who had a really old Pomeranian. My husband always wanted a German shepherd or a real dog as he would say. I did a lot of research on them and talked to my vet. I won't lie, they scared me. I fostered a few with a local animal group we fostered with and they scared me more. I found Debbie and started asking her questions. I'm sure the crazy cat lady part showed. At the time I had a 24 year old cat and a 14 year old Pomeranian (and a few other cats). I decided ok we would do it and told my husband to go get one. We got Magnus a beautiful 92 lb black and tan with red highlights. My vet said from the time we got her at 6 weeks how great the breeder (Debbie)  was. Her temperament, hips, coloring everything was great. We put her in her first obedience class at 5 months. That trainer said she was the best tempered and most beautiful shepherd she has seen.  The trainer had been attacked by 1 in the past and was afraid of them but when she looked in her eyes saw love and wasn't afraid of her. Now don't get me wrong, we have put a lot of love time and training into her to get her well socialized. Debbie does the hard first part but it definitely is more work. I can tell you what you put in you get back. They are intuitive loving loyal companions. They guard their pack and what you tell them they should. Magnus has a natural need to guard me, her cats, and any child she sees even though we don't have any! I can say our vet and 2 trainers as well as my husband and myself think Debbie is the best, that's why we are getting another 1 out of this litter. Debbie is great and I tell everyone I can they need a shepherd from her. Thanks for letting me share! Nicole Gollar

I bought "Hope" at the age of 6 months from Debbie (they were already calling her that, and I made that name her official one) and she is such a beautiful loving companion! Hope turns 2 yrs old on Jan. 13, 2014. She loves to run in her 2 acre "territory". She plays with her soccer ball as well as snatching up sticks, and she loves to splash in the water. She has a high prey personality--so my wildbirds have to be on guard for her. Debbie raised a wonderful dog---she enjoys coming into the house on cold nights and curling up on a rug by the fireplace with her rawhide chew, she loves to be around people and she likes my granddaughter (3 yrs old) even though she's a little bit intimidating if she's running toward us at full speed. She's very gentle, but people stop and think when they see her. She's about 90 lbs and is out of an Echo/Cinnamon litter. She was severely injured as a very young puppy and Debbie told me they almost lost her---but she doesn't seem to have suffered any lasting ill- effects from that experience and was easily trained on our underground fencing when we got her settled in at our place. Thank you Debbie for working with me in the process of purchasing Hope from you---even though she's my 5th German Shepherd Dog (yes I LOVE the breed!!), you have to consider everything when acquiring a lifetime pet.  Debbie,

Just wanted to update you on Dusty. She is a love. A big baby, but very intimidating. People come onto the ranch and not quit sure if she is going to lick them or attack (I think she would lick them to death my self). She will give them the German stare which unnerves them. She is turning into an excellent watch dogShe LOVES to play fetch and soccer. My grandson's have a soccer ball (it is now her's). I kicked it one

day she ran after it and started hitting it with her paw and chasing it. I have a new little male boston. He is 12 wks old and only weighs 6 lbs. They LOVE one another.

I was also checking in with you about a male. I am still VERY interested in getting one of Reiko's pups. Are you still going to breed him to Nahanee? I would LOVE a black and tan out of them if you get any.

Here is a couple of updated pictures. The one she was trying to hide from me in my corn while I was watering my garden and the other one she is trying to get one of my Boston's to chase her with the stick. My Boston's love to chase each other and take twigs away from one another. Dusty is VERY smart...always watching.

Oh did I mention, We really LOVE her.

Thanks

We have recently had the privilege to welcome Crosley to our family. This has been such a smooth and wonderful process in obtaining our pup. Upon arrival to the Kennel, I was amazed at how clean and nice the area was. You could tell that all of the dogs were extremely well taken care of and loved while they were there. The pups were completely up to date on all vaccinations and worming's. Debbie provided me with all of the necessary paper work, including a sales contract, AKC papers and a copy of the generation of pedigree. I know that Crosley comes from a very healthy breed line that has no previous hip or health problems. I would definitely recommend a German Shepherd from Stepping Stones Kennel. You will receive a beautiful, healthy dog, along with a great experience with a knowledgeable and friendly breeder. This has been a wonderful experience and just a pleasure working with Debbie!

Hi, My husband and I found our sweet Cooper360 at Stepping Stones almost 3 years ago! Oh what a joy he brings us each day! Cooper is a very bright, intelligent and very funny german shepherd dog. We had a great experience with Stepping Stones and would highly recommend. Ironically, as I was reading about the other GSD's they breed, I came across one inparticular who loves the water hose! Ha! Cooper loves the water squirted at him and in his mouth. The best is each and every you can find him in the bathtub so he can get a shower! What a joy! So, thank you so much for breeding and raising these beautiful animals the way you do! Thank you, Connie Gregory

Small Title

PUPPY AGREEMENT

  1. To the best of our knowledge and belief at the time of sale, the health and temperament of this pup/dog is excellent.

Parasites

We provide the first vaccinations. We also worm our pups with Nemex at 2,4,6 and 8 weeks. We treat with Toltrazuril, Safeguard, Drontal, and cap star. to ensure pups are free from hook, round coccidian, and Giardia when they leave our care. We recommend a stool sample from your vet at 10 weeks as the pups will need to be treated again at 10 weeks and 12 weeks.  We do not guarantee against parasites as these can be picked up anywhere and are ongoing.

Health Records

We provide health records with instructions for future vaccinations and worming’s and recommended vet visits.  We do also advise that the buyer(s) have a licensed veterinarian, of their choice, to check out the pup within 72 hours of purchase. If the Veterinarian finds the pup/dog to be in poor health or have a genetic disorder, then the pup/dog must be returned immediately to us at the expense of the buyer, for a replacement of equal value if we have one available at that time, if not we will replace the pup within a year, if we are still breeding shepherds at that time. Failure to see a vet within the time given will void all guarantees and agreements. no further guarantee is made.

Guarantee

We offer a 2-year guarantee against Dysplasia... Hip or elbow. If Dysplasia is found in that time, we will replace the puppy of equal value and sex with-in the year and we reserve the right to choose which litter the pup will come from. a letter from a licensed vet with the diagnosis must come to us within a week of the diagnosis, to receive another puppy, there will be no cash refunds.  If you keep Your pup on the Nu Vet supplement’s throughout his/her life, we will guarantee pup for 5 years against genetic disorders

This is a replacement guarantee only for a puppy of equal value only at the time of purchase unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon. The seller is not responsible for any
vet bills or other expenses incurred by the new owner of the dog. The seller is not
responsible for any incurred transportation and/or shipping costs.

WE DO NOT OFFER CASH REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON AND DEPOSITS TO HOLD A PUP ARE NON-REFUNDABLE SO PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE READY TO PURCHASE A PUPPY BEFORE YOU PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN TO HOLD ONE.

The buyer must agree to keep up with all the vaccinations, worming’s, and Vet check-ups to assure good health of the pups/dog.

Breeding Rights

The reason for this is not to limit anyone from having full rights, it is to ensure the pups go to the intended party (there are a lot of shady trading in the breeding world) and to make sure all pups that are going into breeding homes are going to breeders that have done their research, (at the very least an embark/OP test, Gensol., Xrays).

Females purchased for breeding need to have had 2,3 heat cycles and be at least 18 months of age before bred.

Unfortunately, I have several bad experiences with unethical breeders and breeders trying to get pups against our knowledge, so I must make this change to protect our kennel and ensure pups are not exploited.  I am more then happy to work with experienced breeders or new breeders that are willing to do things the right way and respect our way. We have several breeders and kennels that we do work with that would be happy to provide references.  Please join us on our Facebook page at (4) Stepping Stone Shepherd Family | Facebook and Stepping Stone Kennels (wixsite.com)

PICTURES and UPDATES

The new puppy/dog buyer must send pictures and updates on occasion, so that we can record the progress of our pups and ensure they did not get resold for profit.  To assure health and happiness for us and AKC.

Delivery

Air

If Delivery is to be by air, the shipping costs must be paid before the arrangements can be made with the airlines at the buyer’s expense and this includes the cost of health certificates, crate, ticket, and gas to airport, in addition to the purchase price of the puppy.

Ground transport

We prefer ground transport; we feel the pups get more individualized care with ground shippers. Most like payment upon delivered pup. I can make all arrangement.

If you Cannot keep pup

Buyer must agree to allow us first chance to have puppy /dog back before he/she re-sells or gives away the pup/dog that they have purchased from us. I do not always take the dog back because of spacing or other, but I will if you need me to place them or give you permission to place them, but I like to know where they end up.  Our guarantee only applies to the original puppy/dog and is non-transferable to a second party.

The puppy/dog is to be sold by us for a pet only (unless otherwise discussed with us for breeding) and not re-sold to a puppy mill, pet store, or puppy brokers.

All sales are final, and deposits are non-refundable, by signing this: you have read all above conditions of sale. I understand, and I agree to all conditions of sale as indicated by my signature below.

TESTICLES

We do not guarantee against undescended testicles or reproductive capabilities.

We will ask at that time for proof of neutering.  Un-Descended testicles are having not been proven to be a genetic disorder and sometimes happens without our control.

Beyond our control

The seller is not responsible for any stress/environmentally induced disorders or anything that is beyond seller’s control once the puppy leaves the seller’s premises.  Temperament is not guaranteed since it is greatly affected by environment.

THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES IS CONTAINED HERE-IN.  I THE EVENT OF A DISPUTE, KENTUCKY WILL HAVE JURISDICTION OVER THE MATTER.

We highly recommend that for the first year you limit your pups jumping, as this could impact the development of bones and affect your pups’ risk of dysplasia when they are older. We also recommend after all shots are given (pups are not fully protected until they have had all shots as a pup) that you socialize your puppy with people as much as possible and with other pets and animals.

please read, sign and date at time of purchase or any guarantees are null and void.

Thank you.
